A network level system is capable of monitoring any of the LightLOC sensors on a number of different fibers. At the LightLOC server, the software controls each OTDR, processes data, and sends alarms. Two OTDRs are used per line of sensors to provide redundancy and additional bandwidth when needed. One is placed at each end of a fiber. Up to eight lines and sixteen OTDRs are currently supported under a single software package. Remote monitoring stations are also supported. Users can connect to the server to view a local GUI displaying the system status and alerts. Multiple remote connections are provided for.
